Mike is a co-founder of Nextera Search, bringing over 25 years of expertise in the recruitment industry. Prior to launching Nextera, Mike was a Partner/Owner at Execu|Search Group (TESG), where he specialized in Accounting and Finance. He also led the Professional Services Direct Hire practice at Tandym Group, the successor to TESG.

Mike is a proud Binghamton University (SUNY Binghamton) alum where he majored in Accounting.  With a background as a former public accountant and extensive experience in recruitment, Mike possesses a deep understanding of the industry, which enables him to guide candidates through their career journeys while helping clients identify top talent for successful placements. His passion for relationship-building has been key to establishing lasting trust and cultivating strong connections across the industry.

At Nextera, Mike works alongside his partners to manage daily operations while focusing on what he loves most—matching clients with candidates who are ready to take the next step in their careers.

Outside of work, Mike lives in Westchester with his wife, three children, and their two dogs. Balancing the kids’ sports and social calendars, along with homework, is a true family effort. With the little personal time he has left, Mike enjoys getting out on the golf course.

Alan is a co-founder of Nextera Search and is responsible for the firm's Accounting / Finance Division - where his team specializes in placing candidates on a Permanent basis within the office of the CFO in industries including Banking, Alternative Investments, Asset Management, FinTech, Consumer Goods, Service and beyond. Alan's 17+ years of recruiting experience affords him the unique position of understanding both client and candidate needs at an intricate level, for both positions and matching candidates at all levels of the corporate spectrum.

Alan gained all of his recruiting experience at The Execu|Search Group, who more recently became Tandym. As a Vice President of Tandym Pro, he became a key member of the firm’s largest team (the Accounting / Finance Division). After joining the firm in 2007, Alan quickly set himself apart through his tireless devotion to the job seekers and clients with whom he works with currently and has with in the past.

Alan was born in Dublin and he obtained a Bachelors Degree in Finance from Dublin City University, followed by a Masters Degree in Accounting from the Michael Smurfitt School of Business at University College Dublin.

He began his professional career in KPMG Dublin’s Financial Services division as an auditor before moving to the United States in 2003, where he was hired by PwC in New York City as an Audit Senior within the Banking division, and then transitioned into financial services Advisory. Following approximately 4 years within Morgan Stanley's Corporate Treasury division, he joined Execu|Search in January of 2007. During his time at KPMG, Alan qualified as an Irish Chartered Accountant and is an active member of Chartered Accountants Ireland, the largest and longest established accountancy body in Ireland, with over 38,400 members and 6,600 students. It represents the accountancy profession in Ireland and is a member of Chartered Accountants Worldwide and the Global Accounting Alliance.

Alan feels that maintaining a high level of service and commitment to both his clients and candidates is paramount and he makes it his priority each and every day.

Chris is a co-founder of Nextera Search, and is responsible for the firm’s Financial Services Division.  With over a decade of experience, Chris is celebrated for his adaptability, strategic mindset, and ability to cultivate meaningful relationships that deliver lasting value to both clients and candidates.

Before launching Nextera Search, Chris played a transformative role at The Execu-Search Group (later rebranded as Tandym Group). He began in the Accounting & Finance recruiting division, where he mastered the complexities of the field. Recognized for his leadership and vision, Chris went on to help build and lead the firm’s Financial Services recruiting division, driving innovation and growth during a period of significant organizational evolution.

Chris started his career at Solomon Page Group, where he developed a strong foundation in Accounting & Finance recruitment. Over the years, he has refined his expertise, leveraging his consultative approach and deep industry knowledge to create impactful recruiting solutions.

A 2012 graduate of the University of Scranton with a degree in Mathematics, Chris credits his analytical mindset and problem-solving skills as essential tools for his success in recruitment. Outside of work, he enjoys life in North Jersey with his two dogs, balancing his professional achievements with a focus on personal growth and strong interpersonal connections.

Samantha ("Sam") Parris is a woman anxious to do and be her best. Since recruiting in 2004, she has served as a scholar, leader, and role model within the company and a true partner to our clients and candidates.

Sam earned her CPA and acquired almost 10 years of industry experience prior to recruiting. She started her career at a Big 4 CPA firm, followed by time at two major investment banks where she gained tremendous and diverse exposure to people and issues within the accounting & finance industry. Sam's experience has given her an insider's view that she now uses to help her formulate a strategic approach to recruiting. But beyond strategy alone, she makes sure the recruitment process is personal. "Every individual is different, and I make a point to truly listen to - not just hear - what each of my clients and candidates say so that I can respond appropriately to their specific needs."

As an original board member of her previous firm’s first Employee Resource Group, the Women’s Network, Sam possesses a care for diversity & equality in the workplace.

Sam earned a Bachelor's Degree in Accounting from Syracuse University, graduating with a 4.0 grade point average, and currently resides in Manhattan.
